According to the latest report by China Internet Network Information Centre (CNNIC), at the end of June 2007, Chinese Internet users has reached 162 million, which means an increase of 25 million in last six months, the biggest half-yearly increase ever.

Over 37% users, increased from 32.3%, access Internet in Internet cafe. It is said that 51.com is very popular among Internet Cafe users.

A CLAMPDOWN on Internet cafes aims to prevent users from accessing pornographic sites and thwart the use of pirated CDs, officials said yesterday.

"Most Internet cafe owners are starting to change their businesses because people now have Internet access at home. Besides, many people have laptops and go to coffee shops to connect to the Internet, so they don't use these cafes anymore."
